With all the rumors going around, the photography enthusiasts are anxiously waiting to see what specs are available when Nikon D800 finally hits the market. Even though there has not been an announcement for the release of this camera, there have been some leaks about the specs. According to the Nikon Rumors, it is reported that consumers can expect about 99% of the Nikon D800 specs that was leaked.

Based on the rumors, this camera kit will fall in the higher price brackets. This is because the camera will have a slightly bigger display and added features such as the video recording of 1080p (24/25/30) & 720p (24/25/30/60). Some of the other rumors for

In addition, it is said that the D800 is not designed with built-in GPS. Other than that, the D800 will come in two different models/versions and one will not have anti-aliasing filter.

The reported rumor for Nikon D800 specs also states that the EXPEED processor will be able to perform at a high 51 point autofocus. Unfortunately, there is no report to say when D800 will hit the market or even how much will be released. So, even though all of this might sound great, it is important to remember that these are only rumors which are not confirmed.

But just as most consumers expect, the rumored claims for the D800 camera are showing that there will be several upgraded specs and modern features. In addition, this camera will also come with features like some of the other Nikon models like the 3 inch back display and 51 point AF system. For some people, the good news about this camera is that it’s said to be lighter and smaller than the previous model.

All in all, based on the rumors for Nikon D800 specs it is clear that this camera will not come cheap. This means that the price tag might be higher than what the casual photographers or beginners are expecting. If you are interested in this camera and want to know about the specs, you can follow the news to know exactly when it’s going to be released.

Nikon’s an ancient company, dating back to 1917. Though their revenue has taken a hammering over the last 2 years or so, fact is they produce quality cameras. I mean, the only reason for the plummeting is the torrid economic situation. Oh, and there’s the matter of the earthquake as well.

Still, there’s little to argue against their products. Sure, a little search Online will show why nameless faces hate the brand. But there are haters everywhere.

Nikon D800

Here’s a fact for you: Historically, their lenses have always provided very sharp resolution, bringing mere images to life. And if you blew it up and hung it on your wall, you just might be fooled into walking straight into it.

Is this Nikon D800 (Joke)

Now, with respect to the upcoming launch of the Nikon D800, not much is really known about it. But a few netizens have taken the liberty to put up “leaked” pictures of this new model (though you’d have though Nikon would have sued their asses by now).

What is being said about Nikon D800

Still, let’s take a look at what is being said about the Nikon D800:

  1. Apparently, the Japanese company is going the anti-bulk route. Yeap, it’s now supposedly smaller and lighter than its predecessor (le D700).
  2. Despite the downsizing, you’re still being given thrice the sensor resolution. And this is capped with a bigger display screen as well. Oh thank God for those tech geniuses they’ve cooped up.
  3. And yes, for you budding videographers out there: Take a look at these capture option figures. 1080p/30/25/24. This’d make your videos pretty badass as well huh?
  4. There a double memory storage system, with the camera offering both SD and CF memory cards. More sh*t in your sleek machine eh?
  5. There’s apparently a batter grip at the base of the camera as well, which makes it look like a complete joke. It’s like a skinny dude with a fat ass. Thankfully, they’ve made it optional.
  6. Then there are the must haves as well for any enthusiast: Brightness and contrast levels that you can tinker with until your heart feels at peace.
  7. Here’s another rumour. You may even be able to snap 36mp shots with the Nikon D800. And there’s a bit more here-say about 4 frames/second pictures.

That’s not too bad huh? The amount we know for a model that’s not even out yet! Oh yes, here’s what we are not sure about at this stage.

  1. Whether or not the picture/scene recognition features are the same as the previous models, or if they’ve been upgraded.
  2. Whether or not there Nikon D800 is going to be squeezed into a touchscreen system.
  3. Whether or not everything you’ve read above is 100% legit (as I said, these are based on rumours).

Of course, in support of these rumour generators, they claim to have inside information. Though I reckon the people fuelling this all are in the customer care department and don’t really know a dime. But what do I know?

How About the Nikon D800 Price?

Ah yes, the cost. The good old moolah question. The Nikon D800 is once again rumoured to command a 4 grand price tag. But before your heart leaps out of your mouth, it’s probably only for the release date (which as of now is still a mystery that Sherlock’s working hard to crack).

Wait for this one folks. It’s probably, definitely, maybe going to be well worth your money. But seriously, given Nikon’s reputation, you’ve got nothing to worry… Or do you?
